Decisions are Hard...
Decisions are REALLY Hard...
You have shown interest, have taken the first step...
One of the first decisions you must make is,
"How serious are you about moving forward with this Home Business thing?"
This may not be a binary decision...
So many factors...
So much confusion...
So many unknowns...
So much hype...
Who Do You Believe?
How dependable is the data?
I am a person who rarely does things on impulse, in fact,
when I first started out as a real estate investor, it took
me over one and a half years to finally realize that I was
in "analysis paralysis", to the extent that by the time I
got "comfortable with the numbers", each of the opportunities had passed.
After a year and a half, I still had not moved from Ground Zero.
A trusted friend, who had been in my shoes in the past, sat me down
and gave me the "talk". In my JOB, I was really good at gathering
the facts, validating the data, making a decision and moving on to the
next THIRTY or so decisions that had to be made. So, why couldn't I
do the same thing with my OWN BUSINESS? Duh - it's easier to make a
decision when it is OPM (Other People's Money).
Well, the decisions in front of you are just like that.
I want you to look at things from a different perspective...
First, I want you to write down three words...
"My Business Goals"
See, that was not hard. Up until this point, you never thought
of this as YOUR BUSINESS.
Do you have enough information to write down those goals?
Do you even know what to ask?
The answer is MAYBE. So write down the questions, answer the ones you
can, and make a To-Do-List for the questions you cannot answer YET.
What you need is some EDUCATION to figure out many of your questions
on that TO-DO-List.
Some you might need the help of a MENTOR or other resource like a SPONSOR.
Another reality: unless you are independently wealthy, ANYONE WHO GOES
INTO BUSINESS WILL HAVE TO BORROW MONEY (OPM), whether it be an
investment banker, or on a smaller scale, a credit card or bank account.
So now we've established:
* YOU HAVE A BUSINESS
* YOU NEED TO SET BUSINESS GOALS
* YOU NEED EDUCATION
* YOU WILL HAVE TO BORROW/SPEND MONEY TO MEET THESE GOALS
* YOU NEED A MENTOR OR SPONSOR TO HELP YOU
What do you look for in a mentor?
* Someone who has been through what you are going through.
* Someone who has shown success in the area you are trying to pursue.
* Someone who does this, not primarily for monetary gain, but to PAY IT FORWARD.
This is not a sales pitch.
This is not a high pressure deal.
There is no one-time-offer or deadline.
I'm not going to ask you for a SINGLE DIME.
Just something to think about.
Mostly my activities require little more than making some mouse clicks.
Now that I'm REALLY RETIRED THIS TIME,
have closed down all but two divisions of our businesses, and
have turned over those remaining businesses to my wife,
who is also my business partner and COO, soooo...
I have the time.
I would be honored to PAY IT FORWARD with you,
if you are willing, have an open mind, and
TRULY WANT TO SUCCEED.
As I said, you signed up in my downline organization for a reason.
Would you let me help you define your NEXT STEPS?
